Juventus Handed PSG Transfer Boost for Ex-Inter Marksman

Juventus’ hunt for attacking support has been through twisty recent times, with a plethora of names being linked to a Turin move. However, according to new reports from SportItalia and La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist, Paris Saint-Germain have opened up to the possibility of loaning ex-Inter forward Mauro Icardi.

As relayed by Calciomercato, Icardi is an important striker who has long been linked with a move to his former team’s bitter Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus. He is out of contention for a place in the starting line-up under Mauricio Pochettino and the Bianconeri could provide a way out for the Argentine outcast – atleast until the end of the current season.

Juventus are willing to offer a temporary loan deal that doesn’t include an obligation to buy.

Icardi is top of Massimiliano Allegri’s wishlist, ahead of other names such as Memphis Depay, Gianluca Scamacca and Anthony Martial.

The Nerazzurri sold Icardi to PSG for €50m after an initial loan deal, wherein he conquered the French domestic treble. His contract in the French capital expires in June 2024.

He has scored 38 goals in 84 appearances for Les Parisiens.
