Monza exceeded expectations last campaign, marginally missing out on a top-half finish, as Augusto played a vital role in contributing to the 11th position.

Juventus Keep Chasing After Spezia and Monza Wingbacks

Juventus have two priority targets to bolster their wings, Emil Holm and Carlos Augusto. The talks for the first one are progressing well, while they are currently set on the left flank, so they’d have to sell somebody to seriously track the latter.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri management met with Spezia in Milan Tuesday. The teams diverge on the Swede’s valuation but are considering expanding the deal to some Next Gen’s talents ready to play in Serie B. The Old Lady is no longer threatened by Inter, which just signed Juan Cuadrado. However, West Ham and Brighton are keen too.

While Holm might join without ulterior moves, Juventus would have to part ways with either Samuel Iling or Andrea Cambiaso to onboard Carlos Augusto. While they aren’t in a rush to do so, the duo is expendable if somebody offered €20M.

The ex-Bologna fullback has been linked to Milan, which balked at the request. Instead, the English prodigy has some suitors in his home country.

Our Take on Juventus, Holm, and Carlos Augusto

They are seemingly running unopposed for the former, and they better not waste such an advantage. It’s an addition with a ton of upside. Instead, the Brazilian is a starting-caliber player, also for his price tag, but they already have a rock-solid option in Filip Kostic.
