Juventus Player Ratings vs Inter: Shambolic Bianconeri Crash Out

Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Juventus traveled to Milano in the hopes of sealing a spot in the Coppa Italia final at Inter’s own turf. However, Massimiliano Allegri’s men failed to show up at the Giuseppe Meazza, producing a hollow display. Federico Dimarco scored the lone strike of the encounter, but the result could have been harsher. So here are our player ratings for Juventus following their elimination from the Coppa Italia semi-final at the hands of Inter.

Juventus (3-5-2)

Mattia Perin – 6

The Italian goalkeeper was wrong-footed by Dimarco on the goal, but produced a fantastic save on Henrikh Mkhitaryan to maintain his team’s meager hopes.

Gleison Bremer – 4

A day to forget for the former Torino man who seemed to be bewildered. Failed to track Dimarco ahead of the goal, allowed Edin Dzeko to score (albeit it was ruled out for offside) and lost Lautaro Martinez on several occasions.

Leonardo Bonucci – 4.5

An inglorious return for the Juventus captain who was second to every ball. These days, the less he starts matches the better for the Bianconeri.

Alex Sandro -5.5

While it wasn’t a majestic display by any means, at least the Brazilian attempted to forge something as he repeatedly ventured forward. Delivered a decent cross for De Sciglio.

Mattia De Sciglio – 5

The former Milan man was second-best to Dimarco. Surprisingly, he had Juve’s most dangerous shot in the match, but couldn’t place his header between the sticks.

Fabio Miretti – 5

The young midfielder tried hard but lacked the quality to make a genuine difference as Juventus easily succumbed to their opponents in the midfield battle.

Manuel Locatelli – 4.5

A sub-par display from the former Sassuolo man who struggled in his duel against his compatriot Barella. Lost the ball in a dangerous spot which could have led to another Inter goal.

Adrien Rabiot – 5

The Frenchman ran all over the pitch and managed to retrieve the ball on some occasions, but his passing was shockingly poor.

Filip Kostic – 4.5

The Serbian only played one half before making way for Milik at the interval. Offered little to none on the attacking phase, as he always found Denzel Dumfries in his way.

Angel Di Maria – 5.5

The former PSG man tried his best to put himself in promising positions, but his shy attempts on goal hardly deranged André Onana.

Federico Chiesa – 4.5

The Euro 2020 winner started his evening as a false nine and then switched to the left wing after the interval. But his nonexistent impact remained the same throughout the evening.

Substitutes

Arkadiusz Milik – 5

The Pole added a burst of energy upon his entry, but his impact was short-lived. Failed to present himself as a threat for Inter defenses.

Leandro Paredes – 5

Allegri resorted to the Argentine out of desperation, and the latter didn’t add much. Couldn’t cope with his physically-stronger opponents and provided little flair in possession.

Danilo – 6

The Brazilian made some notable interventions at the back. The Juventus defenses instantly improved following his introduction.

Paul Pogba – 5

The Frenchman remains a mere shadow of his former self. Still needs several weeks, or perhaps even months, to regain his best condition.
