Keylor Navas Issues Warning to PSG and Donnarumma

Keylor Navas shook off a groin injury and resumed alternating with Gianluigi Donnarumma between the sticks at PSG. The Costa Rican goalkeeper spoke candidly in an interview, saying that he would not accept the duel to continue next season.

The 35-year-old talked to Canal+: “I have a good relationship with Donnarumma. However, my wish is to play in every game. I can not consider going through this same situation again in the future. Certainly not for another entire year. I will have a lot to consider when taking stock at the end of the campaign. My family is happy to live in Paris, and so am I. I feel well-liked here. We will see what happens.”

PSG’s coach Mauricio Pochettino commented on Navas and Donnarumma last week: “All players have some ups and downs. Performances are never linear. Everybody can make mistakes. It is clear that we have two high-quality goalkeepers.”

The Italian international has drawn plenty of criticism for the giveaway that started Real Madrid’s comeback in Champions League and a recent blunder versus Olympique Marseille. According to L’Equipe, his future is tied to Leonardo, who brought him to the French Capital. If the Brazilian executive got the boot, the former Milan star could be on the way out despite a long-term contract. Juventus have been routinely linked to Donnarumma in the past. However, they did not go after him last summer after the ousting of Fabio Paratici, as Massimiliano Allegri is a big fan of Wojciech Szczesny.
