Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri has not shied away from revealing his admiration for Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski in the recent past. Il Messaggero (via TuttoNapoli) reports of Sarri invested in making Zielinski a part of his squad ahead of their potential Champions League campaign next season. He is reportedly seen as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s direct successor in the middle of the pitch.
However, it is unknown whether Napoli will be ready to hear offers for their prized midfielder, who has proved vital in their run to the Scudetto victory this season. Moreover, Zielinski recently expressed his intention to stay put.
