Lazio President Lotito Hikes Milinkovic-Savic Price, Warns Juventus

Lazio ace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been defended by club president Claudio Lotito in the light of rumors surrounding his potential move away from the Biancocelesti. Juventus are one of the main suitors interested in the Serbian, but the chief seems eager to keep one of his most valuable players.

Speaking to Il Messaggero (via Calciomercato), Lotito sent a strong message to interested clubs, mentioning the Bianconeri in his comment.

“I have no agreement with Kezman, (the player’s agent) to sell him to Juve or anyone else in the winter. Indeed, he is now worth €120M, no longer €100M. The price rises every month.”

He went on to praise tactician Maurizio Sarri, who has played an important role in propelling the Biancocelesti to the top of Serie A standings, not far away from league leaders Napoli.

“Beyond the great 4-0 win on Monday evening in Florence, I am satisfied with the spirit that I have seen again. As I have already said, if we continue with this attitude we do not set ourselves limits and we can go far. I chose Sarri because he is a great football teacher, but also for his human aspect.”

Lazio sit third in the table, largely thanks to Milinkovic-Savic’s displays – scoring 3 goals and registering 7 assists.
