Long-Serving Coach Guidolin Pities State of Italian Stadiums

Long-serving Italian manager Francesco Guidolin has pointed out the dejected state of Italian clubs when compared to the other big European leagues by saying it is a reflection of the country.

The former Palermo tactician spoke to Radio 24 (via FCInterNews) regarding the club’s promotion to Serie B after the Rosanero booked their spot following a play-off 2-0 aggregate victory over Padova.

“Unfortunately with the stadiums we are behind, and it is a reflection of the country.”

Palermo are being pondered as City Football Group‘s next takeover in their portfolio of clubs worldwide, and Guidolin believes club owners should rather focus on overall development than just business.

“One who comes from abroad thinks only about business, these entrepreneurs should be given the opportunity to develop a job to make the club grow.”

Lega Serie A recently released the list of best stadiums in Italy’s top-tier, with Udinese’s Dacia Arena taking the top spot ahead of Atalanta’s Gewiss Stadium and Juventus’ Allianz Stadium.
