Lotito Muses on His Contribution to Lazio and Drops Hints

Lazio president Claudio Lotito reflected on his long tenure at the helm of the club and the upcoming transfer market window during the event Uniformi & Casacche. The chairman offered his remarks to the press (via Tuttomercatoweb).

“The team was established over 100 years ago. It has always helped the military forces, even contributing directly with its players on some occasions. It is an honor and a duty to represent the Biancocelesti and their passion.

I have been the chairman for 19 years. The thing I am most proud of is the certainty that this is clearly a stable club at this point. There are no economic issues whatsoever and we are confidently looking at the future. Our purpose is to grow even further. We use the past as experience to avoid situation that we can not stomach. We aim to be more competitive and surge to an important role in the European landscape.”

Lotito replied to a question about the Lazio goals for next season.

“Simply to do better. We will see, as I do not like to make prognostications. Results get achieved, not announced. We will not give away any of our players in the transfer market. We are trying to build a stronger team compared to the previous season. There was a necessary adaptation period following the coaching change and the switch to a completely different tactical scheme. We are looking to put together a side that best fits it, with the intent of being able to go toe-to-toe with any opponent.”
