Marotta: “We Can Soon Reach an Agreement with Brozovic”

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is positive that an agreement can be reached with Marcelo Brozovic regarding his contract renewal.

The Croatian midfielder’s current deal with the Nerazzurri runs out next summer and the club wants him to sign a new one.

There has been a lot of talk regarding Brozovic’s contract situation and Marotta has said that an agreement could be reached with him soon.

As quoted by Calciomercato.comthe 64-year-old said: “If the players want to stay with us, we are happy to satisfy them. We cannot dispense millions in the economic contracts that we have to conclude, if they understand the model we are undertaking and the current difficulties, we can continue.

Inter is able to give a lot to our players and it is difficult to find this affection, this competitiveness around. We can soon reach an agreement with Brozovic”.

The 29-year-old has been a key player for Inter since joining them from Dinamo Zagreb in 2016, amassing 26 goals and 35 assists in 261 appearances across all competitions so far. This season, Brozovic has featured in 19 matches so far, scoring against Sheriff while providing a couple of assists.

Given his quality and importance to the team, Inter would want to see Brozovic to sign a new contract, not to forget that he could leave for nothing if no agreement is reached.
