Milan Head Scaroni on San Siro, Juve and Premier League

Milan chairman Paolo Scaroni has shrugged off reports of the San Siro being restructured in the future, urging the two tenants of the historic arena to find a solution as soon as possible. The legendary venue has been at the center of talks for many years now, but it might not be long before it is brought down for a new stadium.

Scaroni spoke to Radio Anch’io Lo Sport (via FCInterNews).

“The theme of the stadium is so hackneyed that by now on social networks they call me ‘Stadioni’ instead of Scaroni. Renovating San Siro, which was the first hypothesis, has become impossible because it hosts two teams that will hopefully both always play in the Champions League. It’s impossible to do construction work. We’re looking around to find a solution as soon as possible.”

Apart from the San Siro, Scaroni also shed light on the case surrounding Juventus and Serie A’s standing alongside the Premier League.

“It’s a pity that sports justice cannot express itself quickly, but they are the rules and we accept them. We have a long way to go to reach the English championship, but with this year’s results we will acquire new spectators and therefore bring in more earnings.”
