Despite some chatter about his departure, Arkadiusz Milik is sure he will stay at Juventus this summer. He spoke about it and more to Sportowefakty from the Polish pre-Euro retreat.
“My contract expires in 2026, and I have no intention of leaving. I’m great in Turin and looking forward to resuming practicing with my teammates. The execs never relayed their intention of selling me. Since we didn’t play in the European cups, I had taken for granted I could have less room. Honestly, I aim to play more minutes, and I thought I deserved it in some moments.”
Milik was quizzed about whether he could have done more.
“I don’t know. I’ve featured a lot and did well in Coppa Italia. It was tough to keep the same pace in the league. If you sub in with 15 minutes to go, maybe with your team up by one goal, your task isn’t to score.”
Milik took stock of the season and commented on Massimiliano Allegri’s ousting.
“We finished third, and that’s seen as a disappointment. Juventus must always shoot for the Scudetto. We’ll try again next season. There was the sensation a coaching change could happen in the summer, but the surprise arrived after the cup final.”
While Milik believes he’ll continue in Turin, Juventus might have some changes in the role behind Dusan Vlahovic since Moise Kean’s contract is up in 2025. Moreover, Cruzeiro have tabled a €4M bid for Kaio Jorge and are waiting for an answer, O Globo reports (via TuttoSport).
