Sergej Milinkovic-Savic joined Maurizio Sarri in the presser before the Feyenoord clash in Europa League and commented on the recent transfer market window, where once again nobody managed to meet his team’s price tag (via DAZN).
“I live every summer in the same way, with the media talking a lot but me ultimately staying at Lazio. I’ve rested and prepared well. My agent and the club take care of the rest. I’m here with a smile and with the desire to amend the recent results.”
Milinkovic-Savic admitted that he would like to measure himself against Champions League regularly, as it has occurred in just one season with the Biancocelesti.
“Unfortunately, that’s what happened so far. It’s a shame because I expected to play it more often. We want to bounce back in Serie A but we’ll focus on Europa League now, which is a nice competition for us. We are motivated and eager to perform well.”
The Serb dished on their retooled squad.
“We have many youngsters that will help us out, and it’s the second year under coach Sarri. Many players stayed and already know what he demands. We have to improve our mentality and go back to our old ways.”
