Napoli Player Ratings vs Juventus: Partenopei Super-Subs Win the Day

On Sunday night, Napoli put their recent European heartbreak behind them to produce a solid display against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. Luciano Spalletti’s men dominated possession and had the lion’s share of chances, but had to overcome a few scares (including two disallowed Bianconeri goals) before snatching an injury-time winner courtesy of Giacomo Raspadori. So here are our player ratings for Napoli who consolidated their position on top of the Serie A standings with 1-0 victory over Juventus.

Napoli

Alex Meret – 6

The Italian goalkeeper had little to do beside picking up the ball from his net on a couple of occasions after conceding disallowed goals.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo – 6

An energetic display as ever from the Napoli captain who made decisive interventions at the back, but his attacking contribution was less noticeable than usual.

Kim Min-jae – 6.5

The South Korean did a decent job in his duel against Arek Milik. Avoided needless mistakes.

Juan Jesus – 6

The former Roma man tried to block Angel Di Maria’s shot, but he deflected it into his own net. Nevertheless, the goal was eventually ruled out.

Mathias Olivera – 6

A cautious display from the Uruguayan fullback who didn’t make his presence felt in the attacking phase.

André-Frank Zambo Anguissa – 6.5

A solid if unspectacular outing from the former Fulham man who engaged in a colossal physical duel against Adrien Rabiot.

Stanislav Lobotka – 6.5

The Slovakian isn’t at his sharpest form at the moment, but he still managed to pick up his teammates with pinpoint passing. He always had an opponent acting as his shadow when Napoli were in possession.

Tanguy Ndombélé – 6

This may have been one of the Frenchman’s most encouraging performances in the Azzurri jersey. Drove the ball forward and linked up well with his teammates in the first half. But his energy and impact dwindled after the interval.

Hirving Lozano – 5.5

The Mexican sprinted back to steal the ball from Federico Chiesa on one occasion, but Napoli needed his services in the final third. Wasted an important chance in the first half.

Victor Osimhen – 6

The venomous striker was granted so little space to maneuver between Federico Gatti and Daniele Rugani, but still managed to break away on a few occasions. However, his killer-touch abandoned him in the most crucial instances.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – 6

The Georgian sensation displayed his outrageous skills with some breathtaking dribbles, but in this period, he just hasn’t been able to match it with an equally-sublime final touch.
