OFFICIAL: Javier Pastore and Roma Mutually Terminate Contract

Ties between Argentine playmaker Javier Pastore and Italian giants Roma faded over the last few weeks as the Giallorossi looked to part ways with him and the saga has finally come to an end.

Both parties have agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent, the club has confirmed. His contract was set to expire on June 30, 2023.

32-year-old Pastore leaves Roma after three years and just 37 appearances under his belt, in which he has managed to score four goals.

The capital club have finally made some space in their wage budget after a long standing exit saga. The exact details of his termination clause haven’t been released but he was set to make €4.5m in net wages until his contract expired with Roma in 2023.

A sum somewhere in the region of €1-2m is expected to be paid to the Argentine for activating the termination.

He arrived Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018 for €25m but failed to hit heights at the Stadio Olimpico.
