Roma Need to Raise Their Bids to Complete Few First-Choice Signings

Roma are working on multiple deals, but they have to step up their financial efforts to finalize them. The Giallorossi have opened talks to acquire Sardar Azmoun, but they must improve their offer to convince his club to sell him. The same goes for Granit Xhaka and Eldor Shomurodov.

Roma have the Iranian striker atop their list of possibile offensive reinforcements. However, they value him €18M, which is way below Zenit’s price tag, journalist Danny Amstrong informs. The Russian club is not interested in including three outcasts, Pedro, Robin Olsen, and Pedro, in the package. Instead, they have a €20M bid on the table from Bayer Leverkusen, which they rebuffed.

The Giallorossi have been chasing after Xhaka basically since José Mourinho was appointed. The two sides have not moved from their respective positions. Roma are offering €15M and want to limit the spending since he is 29. Arsenal ask for €20M, or at most €18M plus add-ons. The player will try to force his way out after returning from the post-Euro vacation, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

Roma are high on Eldor Shomurodov due to his versatility. But their €15M estimate is too low for Genoa that instead want €20M, Calciomercato.com indicates. If they could not get the Uzbek, Azmoun or Roman Yaremchuck, Alexander Sorloth could emerge as a serious alternative late in the window, Tuttomercatoweb reports. The 26-year-old striker scored 6 goals with RB Leipzig last season. The journeyman also spent time at Trabzonspor, Groningen, Gent, and Crystal Palace in the past.
