For today’s edition of our Saturday Quiz, we take you to the South of Italy and that’s already a big hint. The team depicted in the picture below had just managed to salvage their permanence to Serie A and would achieve the same feat the following season.
On top of that, this Biancorossi side had also just grabbed an international title – their only one in their more than centennial history. Three non-Italian players were part of their roster, including a participant to two World Cup editions.
Although this team has been away from the Serie A for quite some time – and they don’t seem close to making it back to it in the immediate future – the Italian top flight has very good memories of their performances between the 1980s and 1990s.
