Theo Hernandez has become a cornerstone in Stefano Pioli’s Milan side, who are looking to seize this season’s opportunity to win their first Scudetto in over a decade.
The French fullback has been instrumental for the Rossoneri ever since his move from Real Madrid after a season-long loan spell at Real Sociedad in 2018/19.
The Marseille-born wingback’s value has doubled over the last couple of years – rocketing from €25m in October 2019 to about €50m now in October 2021, according to transfermarkt. However, he is still on €1.5m net per season paycheck at San Siro.
His recent performances have garnered the attention of several top clubs, including Real Madrid, who may target him as a potential arrival in the upcoming transfer windows.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, this is touted to prompt Milan’s management to extend his wages to almost €4.5m – triple of his previous paycheck – if they want to cling onto the talented 24-year-old and guarantee that he with not be lured by other prying giants.

He has a contract valid until June 2024 with Milan.
As things stand, Hernandez and the Rossoneri have a positive relationship and he might be the next player in the contract renewal books.
