Milan, Barcelona and Dortmund in the Race to Lure Ajax Talent

Ajax right wing-back Noussair Mazraoui is set to leave Ajax at the end of the season on a free transfer, having already made his intentions known to the club hierarchy few months ago. The Moroccan international has spent his whole professional career in Amsterdam, having come through Ajax’s famed youth system as a teenager.

He is not short of suitors in the summer, with numerous top clubs vying for his signature.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Fabrizio Romao, Mazraoui is in the sights of not only Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, but also Milan. The right-back announced his decision to leave Ajax for greener pastures elsewhere a few months ago and interested clubs have been lining up.

The 24-year-old is expected to take his time to decide on his future club since there are few more months until the European season comes to a climax and the summer transfer window opens.

Milan have only one concrete right-back as of the moment in Davide Calabria, given Alessandro Florenzi’s uncertainty due to his loan deal. Pierre Kalulu on the other hand, has been versatile enough to impress Stefano Pioli in the centre-back position, from which he looks highly unlikely to turn back.

Mazraoui has 127 Ajax appearances under his belt since his senior debut for the Dutch giants in 2017/18.

He has five goals and three assists in 25 appearances for Ajax this campaign.
