Agent of RB Leipzig Starlet: “Inter Are a Fantastic Club”

Croatian starlet Josko Gvardiol, who plays for Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, is being linked to a move to Inter after his agent revealed that the 20-year-old is eager to see his future at a bigger club. His debut campaign in Germany turned out to be a productive one, as he helped his club grab the DFB-Pokal and reach the UEFA Europa League semi-finals – two feats never achieved before in the history of the club.

FCInterNews spoke to the player’s intermediary, Marjan Sisic, to understand where the future of the youngster may lie. Before mentioning the links to Inter, Sisic started off by praising the Gvardiol for the progress he’s made so far and also commenting on the kind of player he is.

“He is a boy with a great character, very mature and reliable. He is strong, fast, intelligent, dynamic, courageous, gifted with good technique and capable of anticipating his opponent. And one who tactically understands the type of game.”

The agent was also quizzed regarding his main gifts on the pitch.

“I would say everything related to passing, aerial duels, speed and technical skills.”

Inter are searching for defensive reinforcements this season, but this is the first time Gvardiol has been tied to them.

“Inter are a fantastic club, world-class, but I haven’t had any meetings with them. I am always open to dialogue, but at the moment I prefer not to reveal what my future commitments are. I can only tell you that I have represented Josko since he was 14. He is a guy who deserves the best. He remained the same wonderful person even when he was successful and his future will be bright.”

Gvardiol moved from Dinamo Zagreb in a high-profile move last season and lived up to expectations. While clubs may be interested in his services, the agent denied any further discussions regarding the sums involved.

“We haven’t discussed numbers with Leipzig yet, Josko is happy, I think his transfer here was great. He is doing well and there is an excellent launching pad for the young top players.”

Gvardol’s five-year contract at Leipzig ends in the summer of 2026, leaving ample space for the German club to sway negotiations in their favor.
