Argentine playmaker Paulo Dybala’s contract saga with the Bianconeri management seems to be never-ending, as clubs pile up in an effort to lure him away from Allianz Stadium. The 28-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the current season and with each passing day, his future in Turin grows uncertain.
According to latest reports from Italy and Spain, from news outlets Corriere dello Sport and SPORT (via TUTTOmercatoweb), Barcelona are quickly emerging as a strong suitor in a bid to sign him in the summer window. The prospect of signing Dybala is particularly alluring for the Blaugrana, given the club’s precarious financial condition. Also, Juventus could part ways with one of their highest earners and free themselves from some economic setback.
Juventus and Dybala have been immersed in a contractual war that goes back one year, having last extended his contract in April 2017. The five-year deal signed back then expires in June 2022.
Other than Barcelona, Inter have also been strongly linked to get Dybala. Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are also in line to negotiate a deal, given coach former Juventus coach Antonio Conte’s admiration for the trequartista.
Dybala joined Juventus in 2015 from Palermo and has since established himself as a key member of the Bianconeri. Only time will tell if he stays in Turin or not.
