Barella Praises New Teammate Frattesi Over Inter Move

Inter midfield ace Nicolo Barella has praised new teammate Davide Frattesi, calling him a ‘great player’. By signing a loan deal with the Nerazzurri, Frattesi recently put to bed a long-standing transfer saga that involved the likes of Roma, Juventus and even a few Premier League hotshots.

Barella gave an exclusive interview to Inter TV (via SassuoloNews) and exalted the 23-year-old for his attributes.

“He’s a great player, I’ve had the opportunity to play with him in the national team and watch him at Sassuolo. I complimented him, so I’m happy for him and his arrival at Inter, I’m sure he’ll give us a huge hand.”

The highly-rated Inter midfielder then gave his piece of mind on the upcoming season.

“Inter comes first, we’ll try to continue doing what we’ve done over the years, to create something beautiful between us and with our fans, we’ll try to keep Inter at the levels the club is supposed to be. We fought a lot. I always wanted to win, to help the team in the best possible way, whether it’s with goals, assists or performances, team goals are what count.”

The Nerazzurri, with their renewed midfield, open their 2023/24 Serie A account against Monza on 19 August, whereas a Frattesi-less Sassuolo outfit will take on Atalanta the followjng day.
