Buffon Praises Dybala Move to Roma, Wishes Speedy Recovery

Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon, who now plies his trade with Parma in Serie B, has praised Paulo Dybala for choosing to continue his career with Roma. Following a summer transfer saga, the Argentine playmaker denied a move to Inter and instead transferred to Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi.

The iconic goalkeeper spoke at the Premi Scopigno e Pulici award ceremony in Rome, particularly regarding Dybala’s free agency to Roma.

“I can only pay Paulo a big compliment for what he is doing. Nobody has doubts about his qualities, I’m sure he needed a challenge and he chose the most beautiful with Roma.”

Dybala suffered a qudriceps injury against Lecce on Sunday – an injury that might rule him out for the World Cup just a month away. Buffon wished the Argentine a quick recovery.

“He is very happy for what he is giving and he is receiving, now we hope he can recover for the World Cup.”
