Dybala Names His Goals for 2022, Set to Sign New Contract

Paulo Dybala indicated his objectives for next year while answering questions by young Juventus fans: “I would like to win the Champions League. That would be the nicest gift for everybody. Personally, I want to triumph in the World Cup with Argentina.”

Dybala recalled the pressure of wearing the Bianconeri jersey: “The first time I truly felt it was in the Supercoppa in Shanghai. Luckily, my teammates helped me out. They are great professionals. It is not easy because it carries a mix of emotions.”

La Joya was later given the coveted no.10: “It weighs a lot because you have to give more and what you did up that point is not enough. We know what it represents for Juventus, considering the legends that had it. It is a unique honor for me and something I could not refuse. I hope to be able to pull off something spectacular while donning it.”

Dybala named his biggest idols: “Juan Roman Riquelme and Ronaldinho. They were my reference points because they enjoyed themselves on the pitch. I had the luck of playing next to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. They are both phenoms and make the difference, despite their different styles. They are the strongest opponents I have faced so far.”

In the meantime, his agent Jorge Antun has returned to Italy to finally put pen-to-paper on the much-awaited extension until 2026, Sky Sport reports. Dybala subbed off in the early going against Venezia. He avoided severe muscular issues, but he is in doubt for the next two matches.
