Inter Bring In Zielinski, Change of Plans for Taremi

Mehdi Taremi was rumored to fly to Milan to take the medicals ahead of his Inter move, which Piotr Zielinski did on Monday, but the parties decided to postpone them and proceed more quietly, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The Nerazzurri formally informed the current teams of the two players of the negotiations with them in the last couple of weeks. Since their deal are up in June, they can already sign a pre-contract with their future cluv. They technically can do that from January on, but it generally happens after the end of the transfer window.

Zielinski and Taremi will soon put pen to paper with Inter. The Pole has agreed to a three-year pact with an option. He’ll make €4.5M annually. Napoli had been trying to convince him to take a pay cut for a few months, but their final offer was higher than the Nerazzurri. He had already made up his mind at that point, Mediaset relays.

Instead, the Iranian marksman, fresh off the AFC Asian Cup, will pen a two-year contract with a clause to extend it for one further campaign. He’ll pocket €3M annually, departing Porto after four seasons.

Our Take on Inter Signing Zielinski and Taremi

Nobody likes to toot their own horn to the media like the Nerazzurri, but they are two solid signings for almost gratis, considering predictably sizeable signing bonuses and commissions, especially since they are projected to come in as backups initially.
