Inter in Advanced Negotiations for Barcelona Striker Memphis Depay

With the Nerazzurri struggling to maintain consistency within the front-line following the frequent injury spells of Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa, it seems that Inter are nearing a solution to their severe issue this season as the Milanese club is reportedly in advanced negotiations for Barcelona striker Memphis Depay.

As it stands, the La Liga outfits have announced earlier this month that the Dutch international will depart within the winter transfer window as he has failed to break the ground running this season, amassing only four goals and an assist in eight appearances across all competitions.

Despite a great deal of interest from Premier League outfits Manchester United, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, and Serie A sided Roma and Juventus, it seems that Inter are in pole position to acquire the 27 year-old goalscorer.

Spanish journalist and Barcelona expert Gerard Romero has revealed that both Inter and Barcelona have agreed on terms regarding a swap deal which includes both Memphis Depay and former Lazio striker Joaquin Correa departing their respective sides.

With the terms already settled between both squads, all that remains is the green light from Depay to exit the club in favour of making way to the San Siro.
