Inter Set Up New Meeting with Torino for Gleison Bremer

Inter have not given up on their pursuit of sought-after Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer amid Milan Skriniar’s uncertain future. According to Calciomercato, last season’s Serie A runners-up have scheduled a new meeting with the Granata over the Brazilian’s move to Lombardy.

Bremer has emerged as Inter’s top defensive target this summer. However, growing foreign interest in the 25-year-old’s services has seen Torino lift their demands through the roof.

Given the Nerazzurri’s financial issues, it’s unsurprising they cannot cope with the foreigners in the race for the ex-Atletico Mineiro man. But the player’s wish to move to Inter could help Simone Inzaghi’s men get the deal over the line.

Bremer’s potential switch to Inter will largely depend on Skriniar’s future. Paris Saint-Germain are hell-bent on landing the Slovakia international and have already reached a ‘verbal agreement’ with the player. It is now up to the Nerazzurri to sanction the deal.

Skriniar’s departure for the Parc des Princes would secure the necessary funds to finance Bremer’s arrival. And it would open up space for the Brazilian to nail down a place in Inzaghi’s starting line-up from the beginning.

Inter chiefs will meet their Torino counterparts next week to discuss Bremer’s future. The Granata have reconciled with losing their star defender this summer, but they are unwilling to make any discounts. They have reportedly pinned a £25million price tag on the centre-back’s head.
