Inter Waiting for Offers for Two Strikers to Come In

The exit of Alexis Sanchez probably will not be enough for Inter to sign Paulo Dybala, as they need either Edin Dzeko or Joaquin Correa to depart over a combination of technical and financial reasons.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Chilean striker will likely be granted his release. The former Roma marksman could leave for free as well, although not before finding a new team. He is reluctant to transfer, though. Monza and Juventus have shown interest.

Instead, the Nerazzurri would be looking to recoup what they spent in the Argentine’s case, around €30M. According to the publication, Inter are not pressuring Dzeko and Correa to leave, but they will listen to the bids.

The 36-year-old Bosnian earns €5M, which is unattractive to most suitors. Napoli could pursue him if they sold Andrea Petagna. The club hopes some English or German teams will come forward, for instance, Leicester City, Everton, or Wolverhampton. They would have to convince the player, though.

Instead, the ex-Lazio attacker is younger and has much lower wages, but his valuation is not very accessible. Sevilla and Marseille have touched base with his agent before Jorge Sampaoli stepped down. Betis and Valencia could join the race after some sales. But the Nerazzurri believe Leeds United could come knocking after selling Raphinha and likely missing out on Milan target Charles De Ketelaere.

Our Take on Inter Looking to Sell Dzeko or Correa

Since the management’s ultimate goal is to onboard Dybala, the departure of the latter would make more sense skillset-wise, while the former could back up Romelu Lukaku. The Argentine is a tad inconsistent and injury prone, but he could make the fortunes of smaller sides if his price tag were not excessive.
