Juventus Soon-to-Be Newcomer Receives Loan Request

Andrea Cambiaso has yet to formally complete his transfer to Juventus, but he is already drawing proposals for a loan move. The fullback will take the medicals and put pen to paper early next week. The Bianconeri bested Inter and Atalanta in the race to acquire him from Genoa.

As per Gianluca Di Marzio, the 22-year-old will join for €5.5M plus Radu Dragusin. The Old Lady plan to evaluate him during the pre-season. They will decide whether to send him to another team for a season later on. Salernitana have asked for him.

The package for Cambiaso had been agreed upon by Juventus and Genoa a few days ago. However, the deal slowed down because the Romanian center-back had reservations about joining a Serie B side, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs. Giorgio Chiellini was instrumental in convincing him. The icon told him over the phone that his talent would transpire anywhere.

The Bianconeri plot for the newcomer to alternate with Alex Sandro in 2022/2023. Luca Pellegrini is in the crosshairs of a pair of two Premier League clubs. The fee needs to be over €10M to register a profit.

Our take on Juventus and Cambiaso

The Grifone starlet might not have the crazy upside of Destiny Udogie, but he was a revelation in his first Serie A season. Many of the Old Lady’s youngsters that have gone out on loan have been lost in the shuffle, but it would make sense in this case. Alex Sandro will leave next summer at the end of the expiring contract, and Pellegrini is decent enough to be part of the roster. His sale is unlikely to bring in that much cash. The club would have to seek another option in a year if they took that route.
