Lazio Coaching Staff Eager to Get Trio Up to Speed

Daichi Kamada and Matteo Guendouzi made an instant impact after joining Lazio, while that hasn’t been the case for Nicolò Rovella, Gustav Tang Isaksen, and Taty Castellanos. The first one has yet to log a single minute. The other two only had uninspiring cameos off the bench so far.

According to Il Messaggero (via Tuttomercatoweb), Maurizio Sarri will focus on the threesome during the break. Neither has been called up by their respective national teams, which allows them to work at the Formello training center.

Rovella missed a few weeks of practice before transferring to Lazio due to a thigh strain, and that’s the main reason why he hasn’t featured yet, while Isaksen and Castellanos will have to wait for their opportunity since they face stiff competition.

The coaching staff has prepared personalized programs for them to be fully ready once Serie A resumes. The midfielder and the striker need to work on their conditioning after subpar summers. Instead, the winger is in good shape as he had already starred in three matches before coming in. However, there are some veterans in his position.

Our Take on Rovella, Castellanos, and Isaksen

Danilo Cataldi is a steady hand, but the ex-Juventus midfielder will unseat him soon enough. He’ll add more passing and playmaking chops to their XI. Instead, the other two will have backup roles for most of the campaign.
