Leeds United Targeting Juventus Outcast and Another Serie A Star

After a long absence which lasted for sixteen years, Leeds United’s return to the Premier League has been a positive one so far, as the club currently sits 10th in the league standings. Nonetheless, Marcelo Bielsa’s side is an ambitious one, and will therefore try to strengthen the squad with several big names. Thus, two Serie A players have been linked with a possible move for Leeds at the end of the season.

According to reports in the British press (via ilBianconero), Leeds’ star Raphinha could be set to join Liverpool in the summer, and the Whites have targeted Douglas Costa as his replacement.

The Brazilian’s contract is still owned by Juventus, but he is currently on loan at the European and world champions Bayern Munich.

However, the winger rarely plays as a starter, so the Bavarians are unlikely to keep him on permanent basis once his loan deal expires at the end of the campaign.

Therefore, Costa will be expected to return the Bianconeri, who will once again try to offload him, and they will definitely welcome any interest coming from the Premier League.

On the other hand, the Old Lady and the Peacocks could find themselves competing for a certain transfer target.

According to todofichajes.com (via ilBianconero), Leeds are also trying to sign another Serie A star. The player in question is Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul, who is also tracked by Juve and Inter.

The English club tried to bring the Argentine playmaker to Elland Road last summer, but their attempts eventually failed, as he ended up staying with Luca Gotti’s side.

The midfielder is the undisputed star in Udine and has been on a spectacular form this season.

In his 20 Serie A appearances, the Leeds United target contributed in five goals and two assists.

So will Juventus and Inter end up missing on their longtime target in favor of a foreign club?
