Marseille Castaway Malinovskyi Agrees to Torino Transfer

It is no secret that Ruslan Malinovskyi intends to return back to Italy, following a short six-month stint at Olympique de Marseille, which, despite activating the €10M purchase option for the Shakhtar Donetsk youth product, are set to bid farewell. The ex-Atalanta man has been linked to Torino in recent weeks, with the Granata now reportedly reaching a verbal agreement with the Ukraine forward.

As per latest reports from Footmercato, a full verbal deal has been reached between the player and the Torino management. Ivan Juric is understood to have taken up the responsibility of contacting and convincing the 30-year-old midfielder to jump ship back to Serie A.

Malinovskyi himself wants the move, but Turkish giants Besiktas remain intentional to spoil Torino’s advances, having offered an initial proposal to Marseille (via Calciomercato). It is that of a loan proposal worth €1M with a buy-out option set at €10M, which Marseille have seemingly accepted. However, despite the heightened contract of €2M net per season excluding bonuses, Malinovskyi is unhinged and wishes to move to Italy.

He appeared 23 times for the Ligue 1 giants but couldn’t help them avoid a third-placed finish after a disastrous end to their season. All that remains is for Torino and Marseille to come to a final agreement to close the Malinovskyi file.
