Milan Devising Lofty Transfer Market Plans for the Summer

Milan did not make rash purchases in January because their ownership has big plans for the summer transfer market window. That has always been the case since the Elliott fund took over the club. While they manage the finances very carefully, they have not been shy in spending to improve the team.

Winning the Scudetto would be a big boost due to positive ramifications in multiple areas. In any case, the Rossoneri bass plans to carry on with their strategy of mixing in talented youngsters and veterans, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Milan will have around €100M at their disposal for the transfer market in the summer. The top objectives are well-known, as they will go after Sven Botman and Renato Sanches. The Lille duo will not come cheap, though. The Rossoneri front office will also look to bolster the attack with a pair of pieces.

Their scouts have had rave reviews of Reims’ Hugo Ekitike, who will turn 20 in June. He has impressed them for his agility and size. He has bagged 10 goals in 24 appearances in his first season as a regular in Ligue 1.

Milan will also look for a new winger in the transfer market. Steven Bergwijn could represent a viable target. He is versatile, and Antonio Conte does not consider him untouchable. He has mostly been a bench option during his time at Tottenham, while he was very convincing at PSV. On the other hand, buying Premier League players is generally a tall order due to their price tags.
