Milan and Chelsea Outcast Draws Galatasaray Attention

Milan outcast Tiemoué Bakayoko has long been linked to an exit from Milan, and Galatasaray expressed interest in signing him. Coach Stefano Pioli made it very clear that he would not be included in his season plans. He is on the radar of a few European sides, among which the Turkish giants look the most eager.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Cimbom is at the center of the Italian market, as they seek to bolster their ranks with multiple additions from Serie A. Galatasaray are eyeing Bakayoko as their next signing, having contacted the Rossoneri regarding his availability.

The Frenchman is currently on a two-year loan deal from Chelsea. A clause included in the deal would oblige Milan to pay €17M to Chelsea if the midfield ends up making more than 15 appearances in 2022/23. The Rossoneri are keen on offloading him to prevent it.

However, the transaction will be easy to execute since it might require all three clubs – Milan, Galatasaray and Chelsea – working in cohorts and agree on the terms of the Bakayoko deal. Olympique de Marseille have also been linked to signing him. If he stayed, the next one would be the 27-year-old’s third season in Rossoneri colors, all on loan, since moving from Chelsea in 2018. He has 60 appearances for Milan.
