Milan Ready to Pounce on Eintracht Frankfurt Defender

Milan have long identified Evan N’Dicka as one of their top targets for the defense, but they might have to wait a year to get him. The center-back seems determined to depart on a free transfer at the end of his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt.

As per Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri will try to exploit the situation to get a large discount on his valuation. They haven’t tabled a €15M bid as some reports from Germany relayed. They are plotting to put on the table at most €10M if they see an opening for an immediate transfer, which hasn’t happened yet.

Milan would be among the frontrunners to capture N’Dicka on a Bosman move in 2023. But, while he appreciates the destination, he hasn’t committed to them. He would surely exploit his status to increase his demands on wages. Given his strong showings in Bundesliga, the competition would predictably be combative.

Therefore, the Rossoneri are waiting in the wings to see what happens between the Frenchman and Die Adler before deadline day. Differently from Manuel Akanji, who’s in the same situation, he hasn’t been frozen out nor shopped around. The player himself isn’t pushing to depart right away, as he will have the opportunity to star in the Champions League this season.

Our Take on Milan Pursuing N’Dicka

Other than scouting players, they have been relatively dormant in this role following the departure of Alessio Romagnoli. Perhaps they are indeed biding time to see how this matter plays out, as they could snatch a talented youngster for cheap. Tackling the season with their current quartet in the back wouldn’t be outlandish.
