According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Empoli star has a €20M valuation and is poised to join a big team in the near future. Bayern Munich considered him when Manuel Neuer got hurt, and they might resurface come June. Juventus and Roma are also keeping tabs on him.
Meret inked a deal until 2024 with an option for another season. The parties will likely have to agree to an extension for him to stay put. Despite a turbulent summer, the shot-stopper has been impeccable on the pitch and is having the best campaign of his career. Napoli could eventually obtain a big sum from his sale and reutilize part of it to sign Vicario.
The 26-year-old was a late bloomer and became a Serie A starter only last season when the Tuscan team signed him on loan from Cagliari. They paid €8.5M to buy him as they were confident they would profit from his departure.
