The Paris Saint-Germain pursuit of Sassuolo marksman Gianluca Scamacca has turned cold in recent weeks after it was reported that talks between the two parties reached an impasse due to distance in valuation. The 23-year-old striker and the Neroverdi have been handed an ultimatum by the Parisians, with a view to lower their €50M asking price or abandon the deal altogether.
As the player with the second-highest transfermarkt value in the squad – only after Domenico Berardi – Sassuolo’s high demands for his transfer has seen most clubs opt for other targets, including Inter.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Paris Saint-Germain will go after Benfica youngster Goncalo Ramos if Sassuolo do not alter their request for on Scamacca. The French champions added young forward Hugo Etikike from Reims over the weekend.
The next week is touted to be decisive in the transfer race for Scamacca, who is also targeted by Premier League outfit West Ham United. The Londoners have already made contact with the striker’s entourage, but are also averse to meeting the €50M tag demanded. It is reported that the Hammers have offered up to €10M lesser than the mark.

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has often reiterated that it is not only Italian teams interested in their star striker. Only time will tell where Scamacca heads in the future. He scored 16 goals in 38 appearances for the Neroverdi.
