Sassuolo Prodigy Reacts to Juventus Links as Dybala Heir

Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori has emerged as one of Italian football’s hottest young prospects, having established himself as an impressive out-and-out striker capable of donning various roles, including as a mezzala and trequartista. His exploits have seen him linked with a number of top clubs – from Juventus and Milan to Inter and Napoli, speaking of which the 22-year-old has reacted to the interest showed in him.

The Bianconeri in particular have earmarked Raspadori as outbound forward Paulo Dybala’s potential heir and the young talent believes that him and the Argentine ace have a quite a few things in common.

In an interview with Italian media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoNapoli), Raspadori spoke the comparison between him and Dybala.

“I am proud that think of me as his heir. He has an impressive quality. In common we have a taste and a tendency to tie the game. I, too, like him, feel well behind a striker. I grew up as number 9 but I like to be at the center of the game,” he said.

When quizzed if it is realistic to see him playing in Juventus’ colors, he didn’t deny a potential move in the future.

“I like earning things every day. I’ve never taken anything for granted,” he concluded.

Raspadori is close to moving to Juventus for a sum of €30m as per Eurosport (via TuttoJuve), amid he is reportedly ‘ready’ to experience the big-club move early in his career. He has 7 goals in 74 appearances for the Neroverdi since making his debut in May 2019.
