Totti Points to Roma Return After Mourinho Links Emerge

Francesco Totti has, in his own words, confirmed that he might already return to the Stadio Olimpico next year. Jose Mourinho has reportedly reached out to the Giallorossi icon with the idea of allocating a space for him in the dugout among the first team management.

Totti spoke to the microphones of Calciomercato on the sidelines of the Italian Padel Awards and hinted at his early return to Roma.

“Mou wants me? I think so or you wrote BS. He said something, let’s wait and see what happens. I may already be there next year.”

The Italy legend expects the Romelu Lukaku-Paulo Dybala duo to bring the club back into the UEFA Champions League.

“We expect great things from them, they must bring Roma to the Champions League.”

Earlier in the summer, Totti revealed feeling lost after retiring from top-flight football and hinted that he would return, perhaps in a managerial capacity, down the lane. He already spent some time as a club executive under the previous ownership before the Friedkins took over.

Mourinho has plans for Totti now, as he is interested in making the 46-year-old a part of the club’s executive matters as an intermediary.
