Despite tying Olivier Giroud to a contract extension, Milan are keen to onboard young attackers into the team, and a name from Udinese has stood out. Junior Messias and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have been marred with back-to-back injuries, whereas Divock Origi’s exclusion from Stefano Pioli’s plans hasn’t helped the team either.
According to Calciomercato.it, Milan have shortlisted Udinese striker Beto to arrive at San Siro in the summer. The Portuguese forward has been instrumental for the Friulani, even scoring once against the Rossoneri last month in their 3-1 win.
“These rumors are pleasing and they represent a sign of the good work I’m doing. However, my focus is only on Udinese where I’m doing well and on the ten games that await us between now and the end of the season,” said Beto in a recent interview.
His 9 goals and 2 assists in 29 appearances for Udinese have prompted interest from other top clubs as well, including to-be Scudetto winners Napoli and a handful of Premier League clubs – Everton and West Ham United. His asking price lies in the region of €30-40M.
Beto is contracted until June 2026 with Udinese, and Milan have already carried out initial evaluations to understand the feasibility of a potential transfer.
