Napoli have ambitious plans to replace Lorenzo Insigne and set their sights on Nicolò Zaniolo. The Partenopei are on the verge of sealing the deal for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. However, they might not stop there in terms of additions to their frontline. While the Italian starlet is unlikely to get an extension soon, it will take at least €50M to sign him, Corriere dello Sport informs.
His agent Claudio Vigorelli addressed the chatter to LaRoma24: “I would like to clarify this situation. I have seen statements from people that do not represent him or are not part of his entourage, which is composed primarily of his family and myself. I handle all the matters concerning the transfer market and the sports area in general. All I can say is that he needs to be left alone and that the rumors about his future should stop. I read about a new team every week. He is fully focused on the Gialloross. He wants to give his best to help his team achieve its seasonal goals.”
Vigorelli was likely referring to Gaspare Galasso, a FIFA agent that is reportedly close to the player, who told 1 Station Radio (via Virgilio): “I generally like to stay behind the scenes and avoid weighing in on his future. However, I have to do it this time because we are talking about an important and passionate city. I do not want the Azzurri fans to get ahead of themselves. In my mind, there is a zero percent chance Zaniolo moves to Napoli. His priority is to stay where he is. He is obviously drawing interest, for instance from Juventus. However, that does not necessarily mean he wants to leave or that he will actually depart. He is fine at Roma, and José Mourinho thinks highly of him.”
