Inter defender Milan Skriniar will sign for Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, albeit with a modified one-of-a-kind contract that is now being implemented at the French outfit. Marco Verratti renewed his stay with the Parisians until the summer of 2026 at the end of December, but with a twist, which may follow suit with the Slovak stopper.
As per Le Parisien, PSG’s new salary structure – which states that the player’s salary “would depend on the number of games played during the season” – will see Marco Verratti’s payment terms indexed to the appearances he makes for the club.

The new policy was reportedly implemented by sporting director Luis Campos last summer and will be extended to other players at the club. Future contracts and extensions at PSG will follow the progressive salary structure, which will in turn help the club take an edge off their exorbitant wages.
PSG are closely following Milan Skriniar’s situation regarding his back, a subject considered ‘very sensitive’ internally. In the player’s entourage, some even fear that he will not be able to play again this season. ?? [@lequipe] pic.twitter.com/cMuig3FPCJ

Brazilian defender Marquinhos is next in line to receive an extension and is expected to pen a similar deal as the one Verratti signed, as is Skriniar. The financial details of the new structure at PSG have not yet been revealed.
The defender has been ruled out for Saturday’s clash with Fiorentina as he continues to recover from a nerve issue in his back.
