Agent Talks Future of Inter Defender and Napoli Goalie

Agent Federico Pastorello will be a busy man in the summer and is already tending to a few hot-button topics. He spoke about numerous players to a few outlets following the event ‘Inside the Sport 2023’ (via Calciomercato).

“I expect a lively trasfer window in Italy. Having three finalists energizes the whole system. The teams are costantly growing, also thanks to the arrival of foreign owners. I expect Serie A teams to have unexpected resources. It’s considered an interesting destination because of the quality of life. Many players want to transfer here.”

Stefan De Vrij has been touted to re-up with Inter, but the parties haven’t finalized the agreement.

“He’s on an expiring contract. We are negotiating with the club. However, everybody is concentrated on the Champions League final. Any talk will take place after June 10th.”

Alex Meret is on the radar of some foreign teams despite inking a new deal with Napoli last year.

“Director Cristiano Giuntoli made an immense effort on his extension, which was very tricky. The season is about to end, then he will go on vacation, and we will see afterward. He’s very happy with the Azzurri, and he wants to stay put. I think that will be the case.”

Pastorello addressed the future of Tommaso Baldanzi.

“He showcased himself this campaign, and he’s playing the U-20 World Cup with Italy currently. He deserves to make another leap, although he’s great at Empoli. If there’s the right opportunity, we will evaluate it with the club. We have an excellent relationship with president Fabrizio Corsi and director Pietro Accardi.”
