Stefan De Vrij Set to Extend Inter Contract Until 2025

Dutch defender Stefan De Vrij is set to extend his stay at Inter by a further two years – until the summer of 2025. The former Lazio man has long been in a contractual tussle with the Nerazzurri management, but after a lengthy period without any developments, things are set to take a turn for good between the two parties.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has offered De Vrij a two-year renewal deal, and the player’s entourage has been given the green light to accept the proposal. De Vrij will earn €4M net per season, similar to what he currently pockets at the club.

With the renewal, Inter take a huge step in cementing one of their regular defenders following the announcement of Milan Skriniar’s departure earlier in January, with the Slovak confirming his move to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season. Francesco Acerbi’s contract, on the other hand, is yet to be negotiated with the player himself and Lazio.

Alessandro Bastoni and Hakan Calhanoglu are next in line for contract extensions at Viale della Liberazione.
