Fiorentina have reached an agreement to sign Dusan Vlahovic’s direct replacement. 23-year-old FC Basel striker Arthur Cabral will join La Viola, after Juventus reportedly agreed with La Viola with a €75m transfer price for their star marksman.

According to reports from Italian media, the negotiations are at an advanced stage between Fiorentina and FC Basel. Former Palmeiras striker Cabral was rejected on Fiorentina’s initial offer of €10m, before the Swiss club accepted an offer from the Florentine club in the range of €15m.
Cabral has been offered a way out of Basel, although he has managed to score a whopping 27 goals and provided 8 assists in 31 games for the Swiss giants. With his contract expiring in June 2023, he is ready for the next step.
However, his next step is to fill out the shoes of Serbian sensation Vlahovic, who has been relentless this season – pushing his way to the top of the Serie A Capocannoniere standings. It is a feat that will not be easy, as he is bound to be surrounded by overwhelming expectations in his first Serie A season.
This will be the Brazilian’s first appearance in Europe’s top five leagues, having only recently arrived in Europe from Palmeiras in 2020.
