Inter Exec Ausilio Talks Frattesi, Lukaku, and Onana

Sporting director Piero Ausilio expounded on some subjects after participating in an event about sports and music in Milan, starting with Davide Frattesi and hinting at one further addition in the role (via Calciomercato).

“We’re happy for signing a strong player. More than two teams were pursuing him, but they might deny it since they missed out. I don’t want to name names, but we will have six midfielders by the end of the window. We agreed to that with Simone Inzaghi and Giuseppe Marotta. We’ll see what comes up, without forgetting the ones we already have and the possible exit of somebody.”

The executive was candid on Romelu Lukaku.

“He’s one of our ideas, and he made his intentions known. We are trying to understand whether there’s the possibility of acquiring him permanently, but I don’t want to set a timetable.”

Finally, Ausilio commented on Manchester United target André Onana.

“At this stage, there hasn’t been an offer that satisfies us. That’s the case for him and our other key players. We’d like to keep them all and we won’t wait for other clubs ad infinitum. Everything will have to be solved in the next 15/20 days. Then, obviously, if there’ll be some opportunities, we will evaluate them.”
