Juventus Plot to Focus on Three Roles in the Transfer Market

Juventus and Massimiliano Allegri had their first meeting to discuss their transfer market strategies for the summer earlier this week. The directors and the coach are in constant communication, but they opted for a proper sit-down to discuss the main priorities, Goal.com informs.

According to Romeo Agresti, the Bianconeri will concentrate primarily on finding a new left-back, a prolific box-to-box midfielder, and a replacement for Paulo Dybala. However, the new attacker does necessarily need to have the same traits as the Argentinian star. The gaffer might permanently switch to 4-3-3 in 2021-2022. The newcomer would have to be at ease on the flank.

The Juventus powerbrokers and the manager did not go into detail on the targets but outlined a big-picture approach for the upcoming transfer market window. The Bianconeri are unlikely to replicate the mammoth investment they made for Dusan Vlahovic. However, they have the resources to further bolster the squad, although they will probably have to be more creative.

The directors of the Old Lady are currently focusing on their own players on expiring contracts. Juan Cuadrado wants to stay, but the parties need to get on the same page on the sums and length of the new contract. Mattia Perin is open to doing the same. Mattia De Sciglio is the closest to re-upping. The next meeting with his entourage could lead to him putting pen to paper. Instead, there have been no recent developments on the Federico Bernardeschi front. He will probably head elsewhere on a free transfer, like Dybala.
