Lazio Chief Promises Financial Bonus for UCL Qualification

Lazio have taken good advantage of Milan and Inter’s recent dismal performances, pushing their way up Serie A standings, as they now sit in second position, albeit being 19 points behind league leaders Napoli. With 11 games left to play in Serie A, the Biancocelesti are four points ahead of fourth placed Milan and stand a good chance of landing a UEFA Champions League spot.

As relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, Lazio president Claudio Lotito has a special present ready for the Biancocelesti squad if they secure UCL qualification – promising the locker room €2M in bonuses.

Lazio, who were recently knocked out of the Europe by Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, have Champions League as their main priority, with nothing else to play for this season. The teams who qualify for the 2023/24 Champions League group stage will all receive a starting fee of approximately €16M.

The capital club still have several high-profile matches yet to play, with Juventus yet to visit Rome, ahead of their visits to play both the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri in Milan.
