Lazio have turned things around after a poor start by winning three of the last four matches in Serie A. The Biancocelesti had a rocky summer, as Claudio Lotito and Maurizio Sarri butted heads on which players to sign. The president stood by their choices in his latest remarks to Il Messaggero (via SportPaper).
“The newcomers are settling in perfectly. I’m happy that the fans are starting to appreciate what we did in the last transfer window. As I heard, we have no regrets for not signing Domenico Berardi after the Sassuolo match, as was the case for Piotr Zielinski versus Napoli or Samuele Ricci against Torino.”
Lazio won all three contests, and their potential additions didn’t have particularly good performances. The chairman also backed Taty Castellanos, who has shown very well thus far. Instead, the boss would have preferred Antonio Sanabria considering his familiarity with Serie A.
Lotito are in talks with the City to put the Expo 2030 logo on the jersey to respond to Roma’s Riyadh Season sponsorship deal.
“I’m in touch with the committee. I’d like for it to debut versus Fiorentina. It would be only right to unveil it at the Stadio Olimpico to represent the Italian Capital.”
