Milan and Juve on High Alert for Benfica Talent Ndour

Top European clubs are vying to sign Benfica talent Cher Ndour, who grew up learning in the youth sectors of Brescia and Atalanta. He is of Senegalese and Italian descent and currently plays for the Italy U20 team, but that has not deterred various media from referring to him as the ‘next Paul Pogba.’

In fact, he even admires the team the French midfielder is currently struggling at. As per the latest reports, the race to sign the 18-year-old is intensifying across Europe, with Ligue 1 heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain leading the pack. Ndour has been followed thoroughly by PSG scouts this season, notably in the UEFA Youth League, as he starred in all but one of Benfica B’s six group-stage matches.

Milan and Juventus are keeping close tabs on proceedings from Italy, as per Calciomercato. There is interest from the Premier League as well, with Manchester United lurking in the shadows. Standing at 6ft 3in at just 18, Ndour is touted for his physical abilities in the middle of the pitch where he functions in his natural role as a central midfielder.

The youngster recently made his first senior appearance for Benfica in a 5-1 victory against Vitoria Guimaraes. With his contract approaching free agency in June, the Brescia-born talent is expected to decide on his next move within the coming weeks.
