Milan Offered Chance to Sign Nabil Fekir

Defending Serie A champions Milan have reportedly been offered an opportunity to sign Real Betis talisman Nabil Fekir. As per Calciomercato, the Frenchman’s representatives have reached out to the Rossoneri to discuss their client’s potential switch to San Siro.

Despite holding Fekir in high esteem, Milan chiefs are unwilling to negotiate his move away from Betis for now. The 28-year-old carries a substantial €35m price tag. Betis’ demands have been deemed excessive by the San Siro powerbrokers. So no talks have taken place yet.

Fekir has established himself as a senior La Liga star since joining Betis in 2019. The left-footed forward was nothing short of outstanding last season as Los Verdiblancos fell only five points short of a coveted fourth-place finish.

Milan harboured a genuine interest in the illustrious playmaker during his time at Lyon. However, as was the case three years ago, when Fekir swapped Ligue 1 for La Liga, the Italians are strapped for cash. Unless Betis agree to lower their claims, the Rossoneri will explore other options.

Prodigious Club Brugge forward Charles De Ketelaere remains Paolo Maldini’s top target. Milan will make another attempt to sign the 21-year-old in the coming days after seeing their two previous offers knocked back by the Belgian champions

Leeds United could spoil Maldini’s plans to hire the sought-after youngster. Milan cannot compete with the Yorkshire outfit in a financial aspect. But they put their faith in the hands of De Ketelaere, hoping the player can force his move to Serie A.

In addition to De Ketelaere, Milan continue to work on signing Chelsea misfit Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan winger has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge and has already told his agent to architect his move to San Siro.
